Trip to Haiti

Board member, Tracy Metzler,  and Wish for Haiti representatives, Doug Woodson, Nick Metzler and Dan Jepson, depart today for the Dominican Republic on their way to Haiti.  Tomorrow they will visit the children and Father Bien-aime in Ouanaminthe and they will begin to solidify plans for the future orphanage.

Farah

Ten-year-old Farah has been at the orphanage for a long time.  Sometimes she is quick with a smile and at other times she holds back and seems to be shielding herself from the world.  She could use the help of an orthopedist.  She is clearly a strong and resilient child.

School

All of the children are now attending school at Hope for Haiti’s Children’s Center!  This is truly an amazing development. We have reports of some of their favorite things — “writing,”  “studying,” and “the playground.”

Jonah Jones

Aldora and Regina seem like two peas in a pod.  The two little girls are together playing most of the time.  Aldora is wide-eyed, trusting and affectionate.

The Children in Ouanaminthe
